Majspa runs an Alma Soprano Titanium, a triple-wavelength laser cleared for Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI. Sessions start at $60 for upper lip, chin or underarms. We are 15 minutes down I‑75 from Kennesaw at 1401 Johnson Ferry Rd, with free on-site parking and Saturday appointments.

If a clinic has told you your skin is too dark for laser hair removal, that was a limitation of their equipment rather than a fact about you. Most older machines run a single wavelength — usually 755 nm alexandrite — which surface melanin absorbs readily. On darker skin that means the energy heats the skin instead of the follicle. It is why so many people are turned away.

Why three wavelengths instead of one

The Soprano Titanium fires 755 nm alexandrite, 810 nm diode and 1064 nm Nd:YAG at the same time. Two things follow from that, and they are worth keeping separate because clinics tend to blur them.

Depth — which is about results

Hair in one patch of skin is not all at the same depth. It varies by body area, by how coarse the hair is, and by which phase of the growth cycle each follicle happens to be in on the day you are treated. A single wavelength has one penetration profile: it treats follicles sitting at its optimal depth well, and everything shallower or deeper less well. Three wavelengths together mean a shallow follicle, a mid-depth one and a deep one can each take an effective dose in the same pass.

Balance — which is about safety

The three are not fired at equal strength. Each is dialed up or down against your Fitzpatrick skin type. On darker skin, Types V and VI, the balance shifts toward 1064 nm, which surface melanin barely absorbs, so energy reaches the follicle rather than the skin around it. On lighter skin with fine hair more of the work moves to 755 nm, which less pigmented hair absorbs better.

Getting here from Kennesaw

Take I‑75 South to the Johnson Ferry Road exit — about 15 minutes from Town Center at Cobb, a little longer from the Acworth side. We are at 1401 Johnson Ferry Rd, Suite 100A, with free on-site parking, so there is no deck to navigate between sessions.

That matters more for laser hair removal than for most treatments, because it is not a one-off. You will be coming back every four to six weeks for several months. A Saturday appointment and a parking space you can find in ten seconds are the difference between finishing a course and abandoning it halfway. We are open Saturdays 9am–3pm.

Kennesaw State students: the smaller areas — upper lip, chin, underarms — start at $60 and take under fifteen minutes, which fits between classes.

Questions from Kennesaw clients

I have dark skin and was turned away elsewhere. Can you treat me?

Very likely yes. The Soprano Titanium is cleared for Fitzpatrick I–VI, and the 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength is specifically what makes treating darker skin safe — surface melanin barely absorbs it. Bring what the other clinic told you to your consultation; it usually tells us what device they were running.

How far is it really from Kennesaw?

About 15 minutes via I‑75 South to the Johnson Ferry Road exit from Town Center at Cobb. Free on-site parking at 1401 Johnson Ferry Rd, Suite 100A.

Do you treat clients from Acworth and Kennesaw Mountain?

Yes — a good share of our laser clients come from the Kennesaw and Acworth side. Add a few minutes to the drive from Acworth.

How many sessions will I need?

Most areas need a series of six, spaced four to six weeks apart, because only follicles in the active growth phase respond to any single session. The series is discounted. Coarse hair on larger areas can take more; fine hair sometimes takes fewer.

Is it painful?

Most people describe it as warm rather than sharp. The Soprano Titanium uses a moving, gradual-heating technique rather than single high-energy pulses, which is what most people are remembering when they say laser hair removal hurt.
