Why Majspa for facials in Marietta
- Licensed estheticheians with medical-spa training and physician oversight.
- Medical-grade products — not retail-shelf skincare.
- Custom every time. We adjust exfoliation strength, extraction, and serums to where your skin actually is on the day.
- Calm, private studio — not assembly-line.
- Memberships and series for clients who want monthly maintenance at a better price.
Facials we offer
- Signature Facial — the foundation: cleanse, exfoliate, extract, mask, massage, finish. Customized at every step.
- Glow Facial — the same with brightening boosters and finishing serums for a same-day glow.
- Dermaplaning — manual exfoliation with a sterile blade to remove dead skin and vellus hair. Often added to a Signature or Glow facial.
- Bridal & Event Facial — timed and customized for a specific date 3–5 days out.
- Back Facial — for clients with back acne or pre-event smoothing.
Who medical-grade facials are for
- Maintenance between deeper treatments (peels, microneedling, lasers)
- Dullness, congestion, dehydration, uneven texture
- Pre-event glow (wedding, photoshoot, vacation, headshot)
- Sensitive skin that can't tolerate strong peels
- Anyone who wants 60 minutes of actual relaxation alongside real skincare results
What is dermaplaning, and should I add it?
Dermaplaning is manual exfoliation: a sterile surgical blade held at an angle lifts away the outermost layer of dead skin along with the fine vellus hair most people call peach fuzz. It is not a hair-removal treatment — vellus hair grows back exactly as it was, at the same texture, which is the single most common worry people raise. What it does change is surface smoothness, and how makeup sits.
At Majspa it is a $30 add-on to any facial rather than a standalone appointment, because it works best stacked on top of something else — most often our Glow facial, which together runs $150. Adding it before a peel or a Hydrafacial also lets the active ingredients reach skin more evenly.
Not suitable during an active acne breakout or on inflamed skin. If you use retinoids, pause them for about a week beforehand — your esthetician will confirm at intake.
LED phototherapy — the red light add-on
LED phototherapy, which most people search for as red light therapy, uses specific wavelengths of visible light rather than heat or abrasion. Red light is absorbed by the mitochondria in skin cells and nudges them toward collagen production and lower inflammation. Blue light works on a different problem entirely: it targets the bacteria involved in acne. Neither is felt on the skin, and neither carries downtime.
We run it as an add-on at the end of a facial rather than a standalone appointment, and the sequencing is the point. Skin that has just been cleansed, exfoliated and left free of makeup and SPF absorbs the light without anything in the way. Booked alone it still works — it just works less well than the same panel time after a facial.
Worth setting expectations: LED is cumulative rather than dramatic. One session will not change your skin. A run of them alongside regular facials changes tone and calms reactivity, which is why it suits people already on a facial schedule. It is a $30 add-on to any facial.
