We screen for Fitzpatrick type before booking rather than treating everyone on the same settings. On darker skin we will often point you to ClearLift, whose 1064 nm wavelength is not absorbed by surface melanin the same way.
Being ten minutes away helps here too. IPL runs three to five sessions about four weeks apart, and the spots darken visibly for several days afterward — worth timing around anything you have in the diary.
